Corrine McGraw just turned 103 years old yesterday and the whole world is wishing her for her such a brilliant journey.
At her 103rd birthday, she also shared the secret of long and happy life.
Corrine McGraw born in the tenure of Woodrow Wilson and she has seen 17 other men shifting the president’s seat in the United States since then.
Not only this, McGraw has also seen:
- The first woman elected to Congress
- Women receiving the rights to vote in the US
- Amelia Earhart’s historic flight
- The Great Depression
- The Hindenburg Disaster
- Bonnie and Clyde’s historic crime spree
- The British Invasion
- The Civil Rights Movement
- First man on the moon
- The Assassination of John F. Kennedy
- The Gulf War
- Marriage Equality
She has a huge stock of stories to tell and events to share.
Among the members who were present to blow the candles three were her children, some of their children, some of their children’s children and even their children’s children.
Corrin has more than 43 (excluding three on the way to earth) grandchildren. She has her greats and the great greats.
On her 103rd birthday, she was sitting with a blanket on her lap placing her hands with nicely painted nails over it. Even without a little trouble in hearing and fainted beauty, she was the centre of attention at the event.
Corrine has spent 8 years at Woodlands and the staff there reports that she is really punctual in attending the events.
Even when she doesn’t have any boyfriend, she goes to the nail day every Thursday for a fresh cute manicure. (I can’t get enough of this cuteness).
“Just trying to do what God wants me to do. Try to be good to everyone, no matter what they do to me… just do the best you can.”
“She’s just been such a great example. She’s so smart” said Corrine’s baby daughter, Katie.
“She’s been such a role model”, her sister said.
Wayne, Corrine’s son said that when they were small, they didn’t have much money, but the things your parents sacrifice for you, it’s amazing.”
Corrine further said that she is not sure if she has a favourite memory in the particle as she takes each of them as they come. But her family and friends laughing and celebrating her 103rd birthday might become a story for the books to show how to live an imperfectly perfect life.
Happy Birthday, Corrine, we, with our team pray for your more healthy years in this world.
